Nikkormat FTn Focus Screen Removal

First Nikkormat...from a fellow RFF member here!😀😀😀

Great camera and in surprisingly great condition. All cleaned up, new seals, battery; camera strap and...there is dust and other detritus on top of the focus screen.

How in the world does one clean that? According to the EL directions from butkus (thanks Gray Fox), it is possible to remove from below rather than taking the top plate off...

Anyone with experience doing this?🙂

What is seen through the viewfinder may also be prism desilvering.

Maybe but it looks more like a smudge on top of the screen. There is a procedure for removing the prism from below for the EL but I am not sure I am up to that...😱
