105/2.5 AI-S is one of my very favorite lenses that I have ever used. The AI version I have used was quite nice too.

I was looking at the Lens Chart and found out that the 105mm version that I have is of the Ai'd group...Serial #685XXX...(I always thought it was the Ai version) I don't use it all that much but I did shoot a few frames with it the other day...I was comparing it to the older non Ai 135mm 3.5 that I also have...both produced a very sharp image in the viewfinder...I'll see how they print later...

My favorites are the later optical design, but with multi-coating, s/n 500387 - 569519, early/mid '70s, these are notated by "P*C" are AI, and incredibly well built.
