I've just acquired a very clean Nikon 35Ti from ebay which I'm very happy with. Haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet, but will do soon. One thing that struck me as odd was the flash control switch. In the manual that came with it, and in the brochure, it shows a pair of small buttons on the front of the camera which you press to turn the flash on or off. On the 28Ti these buttons were replaced with a sliding switch which was seen as an improvement over the 35Ti. However, my 35Ti has this sliding switch! Was this an after-market modification that Nikon may have done, or is it more likely that someone has taken a broken 28Ti and swapped the switch over?

that's weird! My 35 Ti is the 2 button version,a s is every other one I've seen. Never heard of your mod before. NIfty.

You probably know this by now, but there is a Custom function to override the switch. The flash will fire when needed and stay off when not needed. The Custom function table is in the manual or I have a scan of the page. Brad

I had a 35Ti briefly (had a bad dial so I returned it) with the modification. Confused the hell out of me to as the manual showed the buttons. Great camera, with a fantastic lens.

Brad, I've just bought a 35Ti which is arriving soon. Any chance of a scan of the page in question? PM me.
