Desperate but not serious
Anyone know a good source for parts for Nikkor AIS era lenses?

Not looking to convert lenses I hate to say.
I've been in contact with Procamerarepair, they are pretty slow to both calls and emails. Had moderate success with them for certain parts, but none on others I hate to say.
Mostly I now need to find rear f-stop tab replacements (the leaver or sorts on the rear of the lens that will let ou check depth of feild). Procamerarepair hasn't any.

I understood your request was not for a conversion, but I expect John has a lot of old lenses and parts lying around his shop.

If it's an AI-s lens that Nikon made recently (as in the last 10 years), then they might have some parts still.

Have you tried contacting a Nikon Authorized Service facility with your question?

Most of the lenses in question are older AIS models.
Several of these lenses were modified for use on an old Mitchel 35mm motion picture camera's and had the rear f-stop tab/lever removed as well as AIS coupler and rubber grip. I had no problem with the grips and AIS coupler, but the rear fstop tab/lever has been impossible to find parts wise. By chance I need em for 20mm f2.8 ais and a 35mm f1.4 ais.

Nikon should still have the correct parts. Call Nikon in El Segundo and ask for 'Nikon Parts". See if you can find a part list to order off of.
