I've sent a 24 f2.0 AIS out for repair and it came back marked 'parts not available'. Is there anyone, preferably in the eastern half of the U.S., that works on these lenses? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Another vote for APS, but if you have them do the work, be sure to tell them that you want infinity to remain at infinity. When I last sent them a MF lens they set infinity to about 30 feet and told me that was to help the autofocus grab at infinity when using the green dot manual focus method. Not so good for me because I scale focus on film cameras a lot. They set it back right for me, but said I should warn them in the future to keep it as it was when it came in.

I think Stephen Gandy's CameraQuest does repair work on lenses however I never used them To bad Essex in NJ is gone they were excellent.

I you have no luck, I have a Nikkor 24mm f2.0 AI lens that I'm going to sell.
Excellent condition (no scratches etc)

Sover Wong in the UK is the only guy I've used and most people consider him the best. He specializes in Fs of all varieties. soverf2repair at yahoo dot com
