Taken last weekend at Scarborough Renaissance Festival with the evil Nikon D200 DSLR

I don't think enough calories were available to the general populace in Renaissance England for the common man to develop such girth and poundage.

Did they capture those swords in the Crusades?

Very nice. The D200 can produce lovely photos at ISO 400 and below. On O

What lens?

I just installed a Katz-Eye spit focusing screen in one of my D200 bodies which helps when I use my AI/AIS lenses. On that body, the focus light and the Katz-Eye agree perfectly. I find the old-school spit focus screen to be quicker.

I used the 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G-ED lens

Can this screen be user installed and where do I find one?

the katz-eye can be user installed but it's quite expensive.. i ordered a made in china split screen and it works like a charm... only cost $25 with shipping to Canada... (the katzeye is at least 100)...

both are highly recommended for AI/S lenses.. though the generic screen i use isn't bright enough to allow me to accurately focus my 50/1.2 all the time.. probably about 60-70% accuracy... anyone with the katzeye experience better accuracy with the 50/1/.2?

Although I have never used the 50 1.2 on it, I shoot all manual focus lens' on my d200, and I cannot give enough praise to the katz eye screen. A real joy to use, I hated using the silly green dot.

+1 for the Katz eye, I love mine, but then again I only own 1 AF lens so I needed it. The green RF dot is ok but I hate how it blinks in and out as I sway (don't ask :) ).

It does well up to ISO 1600, better then Neopan 1600 or Natura 1600, IMO. Shoot raw and add some noise ninja and 1600 looks really good. One thing I liked about Nikon's is the monochromatic nature of the noise vs. Canon's colored noise. I'm sure there's more techy terms I could use here but you get the picture...
