Nikon D2XS Screen Problems

Hi all,

I had some fog on the rear LCD screen of my Nikon so following
some opening tips on youtube I opened it up cleaned it out
and put it back together and now the screen does not work
it lights up but not info, any ideas, new screen??

Ribbon tape cable come loose? These things are rather vulnerable to misalignment in their sockets.

Tried that and no go, it lights up but no info.

You have nothing to loose by taking everything apart and reassembly.

I assume all the other electronics works (I guess with no LCD screen it's hard to tell). Did you happen to use a wrist-ground strop during the process? This time of the year static electricity is usually not a risk due to humidity. But I always use one when messing with solid-state electronics to minimize the risk of component damage.

No I didn't, I did put it back together and everything works except the
screen it glows a nice blue when on but that's it.
