Saw one over the weekend. Damn that thing could autofocus fast. Man alive.
That's not all it can do. I love mine.

Live View is great for manual focus lenses, macro, and T/S lenses.
Yep, it's an awesome camera. I use mine for youth sports and the high iso stuff is very nice. AF is very fast.

Sold the K10d as I wasn't really using it much (and needed some $)... then... had some extra $ & bought a D300.... Haven't touched film in a couple of months (the immediacy of digital comes in handy with a new baby!). It's larger than a RF, but that's about all I find as a negative with this camera. Fitted with a 24mm prime lens, it's fairly compact and the darn thing is just so fast. The matrix meter is great & I find using a 24mm lens (with a 36 fov due to the 1.5X crop) allows me to zone focus down to f4. All in all, it's fast not just in operation, but also in (my) use...
Will I use the RF again... you bet! Nothing beats the soft "schnick" of a cloth shutter... oohhh so sexy

I went to a club dinner last Saturday and took the D300 with Sigma 30mm f/1.4 for a few available light candids. Also took a 3f with HP5+ and 15mm Heliar. The D300 shots at 3200ASA look quite decent, but haven't souped the Leica stuff yet. My incident meter was reading 1 second at f/4.5 so braced elbows on table and gave it a try, we'll see what HP5 can do...
Here's one of the Nikon shots.. 1/13", F/1.4, 3200ASA ... Sure wish Nikon would make an S2 or SP with this sensor, or better yet the D3 sensor..... ;-)

Here's a sample from my first studio shoot with the D300, using an 85mm f1.4. This is the unmanipulated jpeg (fine). Have to agree with comments above, the D300 is a big step up from the D200 imo. That's not to say the D200 has suddenly become a poor choice.
