Nikon DK-17M on Zeiss Ikon

So I was going to get in to touch with Miyazaki-san to grab one of his eyepiece magnifiers, but I was going through a pile of my camera junk and found my DK-17M from my D700. I'm thinking I can remove the glass element, rethread the DK-17M and toss it on the Ikon. Has anyone done this?

The eyepiece thread for the D700 is 22mm. The ZI eyepiece has a 19mm thread. You need eiethr a 19mm-22mm adapter or buy a 19mm eyepiece (same as the R-D1 or Nikon FM, FM2, FE2, etc...)

or does something like DK-17M exist for Nikon FM, FE... ?
