Nikon DSLR'S still relevant

I have a Leica IIc, an Argus C3, and a Nikon D750. Among other cameras. The D750 is a stable, solid camera that consistently performs. Newer cameras may have more pixels, faster auto-focus, and weigh less. But many times I return to the D750 if I want a camera that will just work.

Yup, I bought a D750 a few years ago to use solely as my film digitizer, which works very well. Recently I was asked to document some folks in the last No Kings march which was a perfect situation for digital; I shot several hundred frames along with some short video segments with the Nikon using a cheap Nikkor AF zoom and results were great. I was kind of blown away by how intuitive and comfortable the camera was in a relatively fast paced documentary environment.

For several years, I shot a Nikon D1x and a D2H. I loved those cameras, but as I grew older, I really started to notice the weight and bulk of the system. So I eventually sold all the Nikon gear and moved to a micro 4/3 system. Still, I really do miss those cameras. They were built like tanks and super easy to use, and the images were outstanding.

I also have a micro 4/3 system that I use an alternative to the D750, but is still keep use it occasionally.

I have a D700 that’s great, but I’m eyeing a D750 to replace it.
I picked up a used D750. My D700's battery door fell off; that's how much I've used it! I'm not done with it! The D750 is nice, but I still like my D700. who needs a tilting screen, anyway. There is still duct tape for my D700.

I picked up a Z8 a few months back--I really kind of needed the frame rate and high ISO performance for shooting pro boxing--but I still keep my D810. For one thing, it produces images that, other than missing a few pixels, equal those from the Z8. It's got an optical viewfinder, which I prefer. And it can use all my autofocus lenses, not just those with internal motors. I do have a few screw-drive AF lenses still that I really like, and I'd love one day soon to score a 135mm/F2.0 DC lens, which would be MF only on a mirrorless camera.

Nikon DSLRs will be rockin' and relevant for a while to come.

I still have my D810 and a couple of zooms, the image quality has hardly been bettered.
I also have a D500 with a 200-500mm for birding, wildlife and surfing. I have yet to find a mirrorless alternative, certainly not from Nikon...

The 750 is nice. The 780 is nicer.
But: The Z5II is nicest. A short and not scientific test showed me that the 3d tracking is even better than the 780´s.

I have a D750 also and I think it is awesome. Sometimes I use my D80 when I want to shoot with a crop sensor (makes my 80-200 f/2.8 zoom into 300 just like that) and I also have a D7000 which I have never warmed up to and have even considered selling. But the D750 is on a whole nother level in terms of image quality.
