Some Nikon chargers have button you press for calibration. Yours doesn't...! When a battery's playing up, it's usually beyond help. Best to simply buy a replacement - original or a respected off-brand. Chinese batteries may be cheap but you get what you pay for - typically low capacity, poor performance and short life, and a fire if you're especially unlucky. Not saying that all Chinese batteries are rubbish - after all, that's where many brand-name ones originate - but it can be difficult sorting the wheat from the chaff.
Battery tips: Li ion batteries die sooner the warmer their environment, so store them in a cool place. I keep mine in the fridge (not freezer) in air-tight box to minimise condensation. They also dislike being kept at 100% charge for long periods, so store spare batteries part charged and top up before use.
