Nikon F Apollo on eBay

Title was changed ?. I think this is reg F with a 3rd gen F meter, (with the Flip lever)
Org TTL had a push button. before that, a external coupled meter.

But, for $125 with a working meter and 50mm f/2 lens, is a good price..
Looks in great shape.. the S# 7406914...so not early model.

Plastic tipped advance lever and self timer lever make it an Apollo. I have a black Nikon F with plain prism, a few F2's, a few F3's, and an F4, not to mention several Nikkormats, FG's, and 801's, so I certainly don't need it.

SOLD! If it was someone here then thank you. I was going to look at it again, and my resolve was low. If I'm going to shoot with an old SLR, it should be my Leicaflex SL. This is the reason that I love digital: Crazy low prices on pro film cameras.

I'm a late-comer to the Nikon F - despite having used Nikon film SLRs for donkey's years. I recently took a shine to a very old F (plain prism, square viewfinder, dull, matt silver finish, holow winder and hatch-marked self-timer lever) with a fully-functioning F36 motor drive / battery pack attached. The serial number shows it to be a 1959 model (in the first 9,000 made). I have no idea whether I paid over-the-odds for it but I could afford it (just) and will have fun with it as I didn't buy it as a paper-weight.

It's a lovely piece of kit and I can see why it became the work-horse for everyone from fashion, to photo-journalists to sports 'togs.
