I just recently got a motor for one of my F3's and it came with an MN2 battery pack. Needless to say it didn't work so for a mini project I decided to fix it.
After cleaning out the corroded batteries and leakage I've just finished soldering in a new set of 400 mah nicd's and even before charging it makes this motor fly! Not that I'll use it for whirring through film, I just dislike stuff that doesn't work properly. Does anyone have an old mn2 that they don't want as I bought enough batteries to do 2 packs? I think most have been thrown away.

I don't have an MN2 but I just wanted to say well done on the battery rebuild.

Thanks. I charged it for 5 hrs as the normal charger times out at 3 1/2 hrs for the original 270 mah batteries. 5 hrs should be fine for the 400's I put in.
Full charge gives me just shy of 20v and it really does motor!

Did you happen to take any pictures of the process?

I have an R9 motor drive battery that's almost dead and would like to replace the internal cells.
