Nikon F3H - 36 exposures in 3 seconds!

Yes low price but no matched motor drive which is probably why. And yes very high serial number I thought they only made 500.

Wrong back for using with high speed motor, but it must a very quiet F3.

Wondering if it a build up from parts?

I handled an F2H once at a NPS function back in the early 80s, it was a fun toy! This looks even better.

Most likely not a build-up from parts, the F3H uses a non-movings pellicle mirror assembly and you shoot thru the mirror losing 1/3 stop of light. Access to the proper parts and assembly would be harder than finding one. I've never seen one listed without the motor drive, which is a modified MD-4 with higher gearing from what I've heard. i would suppose that this body could be mated to a standard MD-4 with no problems but just a guess. Interesting camera I've long wished to use for the surf action I shoot. I've seen and briefly shot with the F and F2 high speed back in the 1980's from a skateboard photog.
