Nikon F6 alive and well!

Bloody hell that's cheap for what you're getting ... it makes a mockery of what Leica asks for their film MP, nearly twice the price in fact. Not to bag Leica though because I would love an MP but when you look at the sophistication of the F6 and the build quality I really wonder how they can sell it at that price!

Bravo to Nikon for continuing to fly the flag for film when so many other manufacturers have been happy to leave it behind. :)

You seen how expensive the Nikon S3 and SP were when Nikon reintroduced them?
Makes the Leica Ms seem like a bargain!

Good to hear that the F6 is back. I like mine.
 
I sold off/traded most of my Nikon and other 35mm SLR gear long ago, but I'm really glad I kept the F6 and a couple of AI-s primes. For all else, borrow from my Nikon-shooting friends and relatives...

(as an aside: the other exception, as noted in my sig, is a D2x that fell into my hands last fall. No idea what to do with it...)

Really need to get my 50mm Nikkor-S AI converted. I think that'd be a match made in heaven with this body.

Yep. I used a Leitaxed Summilux 50r on my F6.

To be honest the usability factor was not so great as you lose auto aperture stop down and so all metering is manual stop down.
Much better to get a Leica body like an R-E for under $200 and use that instead of buying the Leitax mounts, doing the surgery etc. Unless you also want to use it on a DSLR as well as F6.
Results are great though.
 
Lovely camera but it’s a bit stupid that they are promoting an 18-140mm DX lens to use on it though :)
