the F100 will get sticky with moderate to heavy use, just a fact of life. i've not heard reports of sticky rubber on the F6, so I think you're in the clear.
How is it not fully functional with the latest Nikon lenses? My F100 will do VR with the 70-200 f2.8, and works perfectly fine with G lenses. I'm assuming the F6 is the same in that respect.
I was not talking about VR, but rather the latest lenses being released by Nikon with the wholly electronic apertures, such as the latest 24-70 2.8 that was announced very recently. Any Nikon bodies before the D3 will be unable to stop the lenses down.
I have an F100 and used to have an F6. Didn't experience sticky rubber with either. I did get (sorta) there with an F80, though. Not bad enough to do anything about it — just enough that i know what you're talking about.
