The Nikon zoom finder is probably the best such device around, and does not cost a fortune. Unfortunatley, the 28mm adaptor lens is scarce and ridiculously expensive, so I am going to try to make my own. Can anyone on the list tell me the focal length (or dioptre power, which amounts to the same thing) of the Nikon 28mm accessory lens? Assuming I am able to make anythiung useful, I'll post the recipe here.

The upper one. I didn't know the other design existed. Was that a very early Leica clone product?

Anyone know which came first? TEWE or Nikon? They look suspiciously similar (upper Nikon pic and TEWE). TEWE was (I think) '53 -- I can check via old BJP almanacs.
(Sorry for not helping with the thread but I'd like a 28 adapter for the TEWE and have never even seen one, and I'm intrigued.)

Did you say Nippon Kogaku
There are Nippon Kogaku examples marked "Made in Occupied Japan", we assume those came out 1950-1951
