Nikon Rangefinder Vs. Canon Rangefinders Pros and Cons??

Brian,
Well said the first time around and well worth repeating.

The so-called high price of Nikon RF gear is something of a myth. Every Nikon body (except for the bizarre variations that are so scarce because they were utter failures in the marketplace) can be bought in very good user condition for much less than the price of an equivalent semi-pro digital SLR.

I'm no expert on Leica lens prices. But the most expensive Nikkor that someone might seek for available-light photojournalism work is the 35mm f/1.8, and I see clean versions going for around $600 or so. All the other classic user Nikkors-- from 28mm to 135mm -- are cheaper, usually considerably cheaper in the $200 to $350 range -- and are among the best lenses ever made. I've never had Leica lust because I think my glass is of the same calibre, especially when you're comparing it to the Leitz lenses of the 1950s and '60s.
