Did you say Nippon Kogaku
The last two examples of the 8.5cm f1.5 did under $1500
The last three examples of the 5cm 1.1 sold for under $3000,Dan you mention $4000,no-one has sold one for $4000 lately.
The price of the 18cm f2.5 is around $700 to $800
Adorama sold a 2.1 cm recently for $7100 which was more than the previous sale.

It seems as though the prices should be expressed as ranges, not specific amounts. The lenses trade hands infrequently enough that you can't attach a fair, exact price to them ... if it goes on sale and no one in particular wants it at that time, the price is low or it won't sell. If someone is looking for that specific lens at that time, the price can jump. In other words, these trade so infrequently that an individual can influence the market.

I typically dont like ranges because when you put a range of lets say $ 150-300 for a Nikkor 50/1.4, buyers will want to only buy at $ 150 and sellers will wonder why they didnt get $300 for their sale. I tend to like a number in the middle - say $ 225. But ranges have their place too.

Hi Jon
I havent tracked the bodies, but having owned then sold 2 SP's, one cloth and one titanium shutter, the overall condition of the entire camera is more important than the shutter material....having said that, I think the titanium shutter ( which is the later model ) whould bring about $ 100 - 200 more than a cloth shutter. SP's seem to be selling in the $ 1300-1500 range in exc condition ( body alone )
Dan
PS - check out this SP kit

I prefer a range. No two lenses have the same condition. A newer one without marks costs more than one in user condition or with scratches, etc.
