I was poking around and saw a couple clean S2 bodies for $300-$350 (buy it now) on the bay

does that seem too low ?

Wonderful camera. Time to buy. If you already have one; seems perverse to sell it at twice that price. Maybe perverse too strong a word, but, really, a nice S2 is a lot of love for $300.

Sold mine recently for 195$ body only, really rough user but in good operating order.

My first S2 cost me 400$ in 2014 in excellent condition. Both without lens.

I think prices are a little low right now for sellers, but still catching more than their Contax cousins. So all in all, a good thing as they are more approachable at the current prices for those wanting to try Nikon RF.

I wish the glass would take a little price slash! 😉

Nikon prices????

Nikon prices????

I've always been fascinated that when Nikon copied the Contax II (or Kiev) rangefinders, they were able to cut the base leg of the rangefinder triangle in half and get more money for the camera because of the Nikon Name?

Why is that?I loved the way my 1952 Kiev would focus a 90mm lens, while the Nikon had problems getting spot on.
