I 've recently acquired an old s3. The vertical alignment is off on the range finder. Anyone know how to access the adjustment for this?

Should I spring for the whole CLA? and by who? The shutter seems ok, I just shot a roll of slides and they look fine.

Thanks
Eric

PS Anyone have the 10.5 cm for this camera?

The vertical alignment is easy once the bezel is removed. Use a screw driver that exactly matches the screw, ie do not use one that is too small. The screws may be tight and can strip. Go slow and watch for resistance. Reading from Thomas Tomosey's book on Nikon Repair, ""The oval cutout next to the main image window is for vertical alignment. Loosen up the setscrew through the hole, then reach in with a small screwdriver and rotate the serrated collar of the optical wedge". I've done this on the SP, ir is a bit different procedure. Have a flashlight handy to look into the oval cutout.
