notice the black paint over chrome top plate and front plate.

it was not unusual at all for Nikon in the rangefinder era to repaint chrome black if they needed to keep a production schedule.

look at it closely you will see that it is not real, got a repainted top plate with a nice serial number for $900.

camera should be a 1/2 frame, but is a full frame. viewfinder is part of the 1/2 frame part that is a slide in finder on the s3m. missing the slide in part.

The modified multi finder part goes with the top cover cut out for it .
as photomoof mentioned it's listed as nikon s3 black.
That's about it . No claims .
The engraveings seem to be nikon .
