I have a Nikon SP with a bent (?) back. Extremely difficulty to get it back on. Have been surfing to find a donor back to no avail. Is it my imagination or does an early Nikon F back work?

Bent backs can often be straightened. Not that I have tried to improve a SP back. But I have saved a few other types (Contax, Rollei, Alpa, Zeiss et al) with the deft use of some basic tools, and a surface plate. True, they will not always be as good as when new, but can frequently be made usable again. This is not an option for the one you have?
