Nikon SP repair

Hello! I have a Nikon SP that that needs some help. Can anyone recommend someone for repairing these cameras? I'd like to get it overhauled, but there is a small problem. The rewind knob has to be removed in order to take off the top plate, but unfortunately the rewind gearbox is broken, so that the rewind knob just freewheels with the shaft, and there is nothing to grab onto in order to remove this knob. No rewind removal, no repair. It's like catch 22.

Any ideas?

A competent repairman should be able to fix it, though finding spare parts may be a problem.

It will obviously have to go to a competent Nikon rangefinder repair person. Knowing where you are will make any suggestions as to who you might use more meaningful, and cost effective.

Ken Ruth (www.baldmtn.com) did great a complete overhaul for me. Eddy Smolov might do a repair for you on your SP.
