Nikon Treasures at Westlicht November 19th 2016

Is it better to have trifocal Nikon SP?
Is it better to have stock of Apple?

There is one Trifocal SP and 5.3 billion shares of Apple.

Hmmmmmmm.

I'll take the camera.

But then I may have to wait 50 years this time....

I can't remember that sale, but let's assume about 2000 @ $15,000 which would be $5 a share (split adjusted) so the profit would have been -- 3000 x $111 or $333,000 invested in Apple.

$15,000 in 2000 would be $21,000 today.

Westlicht Auction experts..

Westlicht Auction experts..

A bit off topic: I bought a Leica M3 with collapsible Summicron at this november Westlicht Auction. I have mixed feelings about Westlicht Auction. Vulcanite fell of and the lens was not aligned. Positive: they picked it up and replaced the vulcanite and aligned the lens. They even did something on the shutter. Negative: now it appears to have a light leak which it didn't have in the first roll. The Leica IIIa I bought in the june 2016 Westlicht Auction had a spool stuck in it, and appears to have shutter problems at 1/60. I don't think they have a thorough expert quality control, or is that too rude to say...? From custom care I am literally told that they are selling antique, so no further help can be provided...
