Nikonos V - Above The Water

I just picked up a Nikonos V and was wondering if anyone here shoots one and what could I expect from the 35mm F2.5 UW Nikkor Lens above the water?

Also, what's your opinion of the AE exposure system?

I have the Nikonos II, from 1970-1. The same lens, above water; you won't believe it. Color, resolution, contrast, it has it all. Plus, you can throw it across the room with no damage.

I have a Nikonos V for mountain climbing. Excellent lens out of water and in the rain. The exposure system is good.

I had a III years ago - the area I covered for the paper flooded every spring, and after dropping a F2/MD2 into the drink I picked up a Nikonos for foul weather shooting. Sold it years ago.

Last year I happened across a sad little I at a local store and took it home. I haven't used it much, but would like to have it CLAed and start carrying it in foul weather. Does anyone know a resource for CLAs on older Nikonos gear?

The 35/2.5 is a great lens!

I just picked up a copy of JPG magazine, and it had an article on the Nikonos 2, and apparently it's great above water.
