I've never received these notices... I gave up even checking the boxes. I just assumed it never was a real function of the site. I use a Mac... does that make a difference?

I use a Mac and, up until the past few days, have always received the emails. However, it has been full radio silence for the past two or three days at least now.

Last night , I posted a comment, and right after I refreshed, RFF gave a database error, and the new thread and my comment on it disappeared.

Same here - no notifications for a day or two. On the bright side, I missed a few classified ads that might otherwise have poured GAS on the bonfire of my checking account...
