It's simple. Just call NJ. You will be pleasantly surprised how kind and responsive they are. Explain your situation and your love for and, commitment to using their products. They will help you if they can. If there is no way around the warranty card issue they will tell you. This is the same company who for me replaced a "mother board" and calibrated my M8 as a warranty repair. I was the second owner and the camera was out of warranty period. That was major compared to shipping a couple of filters that have less market value every day now with the M9. The phone number is online.

This has been my experience lately, even when it is India or hte Philippines that gets called rather than NJ.
This is the same company who for me replaced a "mother board" and calibrated my M8 as a warranty repair. I was the second owner and the camera was out of warranty period. .
They repaired my M8's "coffee ring" LCD for free too... 2nd owner, no warranty.
