An interesting blog post --> about an interview with the guys at Fuji.
- the xpro is their flagship and they will not announce a xpro 2 until there is a worthy technology breakthrough.
-- My guess would be new sensor technology that they have been working on w/ Panasonic.
-- But to me that does not mean they may not announce an xp1s in the same way they did a x100s..
- they are targetting a total of 20 lenses for the x series
- they design philosophy is toward image quality and their Fuji colors over other aspects for their lenses including af speed.

i would hope that they would come out with a refreshed model S soon…a flagship shoud be at the front of the parade, no?

what could those three additional lenses be...i really hope they are tilt/shift lenses.

does the x-pro2 really need a major breakthrough? just give me pdaf already!

U may c it in the form of a xp1s for all any us of know. Gary

Management speak is so nice. I read: we know and everyone else knows that our image quality is great. So let's pronounce that and hide that we don't have a clue how to build a fast AF.

except the xe2 right? Which has extremely fast af.

Im glad they aren't replacing the x-pro1 in any rush. Sick to death of digital cameras that are updated every 6 months with minor features upgrades (looking at you olympus and your 27 Ep models)

yes the xe2 is the first fuji mirrorless that I'd call adequately fast, and I've had them all. I'd love an xpro with the same AF (and the better EVF and +/-3 EV dial)
Also I never thought I'd use it but I actually quite like the wireless function, it works really well with my android. I'd pay a grand to transplant all that stuff to my xpro.

OK. If X-E2 is extremely fast, how do you call Olympus or Canon AF in their top models.

Faster in some areas, slower in others. I prefer the AF in my x-pro1 to the AF of my 5d3. The x-pro1 - when it hits, it is almost 100% accurate. The 5d3 has a much less accurate rate. Also in moderately low light I find the xpro1 slightly faster.
