Noblex 135U - Decent Price?

What is a decent price for a Noblex 135 U in good condition - with supposedly no banding and full service a couple of years ago with new style drums (Canadian version). I think it is an older one because it looks like it doesn't have the shift feature ( no white dot on the turret.)

I would appreciate any tips in price quickly, I have to make a decision soon. The price is mid- $500's.

Sounds good to me, does it have any filters? I would make the seller an offer, maybe $450, and negotiate from there. Have a look on ebay at sold items, it's a good indication of what you can get for it if you don't like it.

If it does not have the shift it is most likely not a 135U. Also the U has shutter speeds down to 1 sec. So check what the shutter speed range is also. What I have seen is the U holds it's price quite well 750-1100 depending on condition and having the drums repaired is a good thing. It sounds like it's a 135 S or Sport those were less expensive without the shift and none of the slow shutter speeds. To me that's where it's priced, if you get a U at that price you got a great deal.

They all had the same lens, it was just the shift and the shutter speeds that made the difference, to me the shutter speeds is the big improvement otherwise you have to sit and count the rotations in double exposure mode for anything slow. Which is a pain in the you know what.

Here's where to see the listed difference of the Noblex 135 models. Note they show a different name on the lens between the 135U and the other models. I am not really sure if there was a difference.

Thanks for all the info. I am very sure it is a 135U - it does have the extra shutter speeds and the lens is a Docter (like my 150), but no shift, and comes with a single filter.

I went ahead and took it. It should come next week and I'll check in after testing it.

Seems like that was a good deal, if it was a 135u. I'm not patient enough to wait it out for a $400 U.

Update - the 135U came last week and tests out fine. It is an early one with the plastic rewind knob and the shift is not marked like newer ones. I confirmed it had a full service by Noblex Canada with the new drums about a year and a half ago.

Now I am trying to figure out where to get a usable pair of tweezers to mount filters. It is much harder than it is with the 150, and I think that will be a constant PITA. If anyone has any tips on the technique to use filters, or the type, style, and supplier for a good pair of tweezers, please let me know.
