A couple I met at the gas station who bought their car new in 1966 and still drive it together today. Wide open at 0.95 (notice the purple fringing).

Purple fringing new lenses?
Maybe the ASPH element moulded with plastic resin, produce this issue.
But this is only my thought, maybe is wrong.... or is true!
