Sorry if this question has come up before - a forum search didn't seem to find it.
I am planning on purchasing a used Noctilux in the very near future. How many variants of the 50mm/f1 have been made? I have seen a reference to an E58 version. There appear to be at least 2 different E60 versions - the current one with the built-in hood and an earlier one with a removable hood.
Are there meaningful optical differences among the different models especially wrt number of elements, type of elements, coating, etc. I suppose another potential variable is whether the lens was made in Canada or Germany.
