I am new to "M" mount, in fact my Ikon doesn't arrive from B&H for another week. I noticed that this lens has a number of people saying that it is a good value and not a bad lens, but what adapter should I be using and is there any problems with an adapted screw mount vs. just purchasing an 'M' mount lens?

You use the adapter (various makers, including Leitz & Cosina Voigtlander) that brings up the 50mm & 75mm frames.

There is no problem except for having to buy the proper adapter & screwing it onto the lens.

bwcolor, sounds like you are going to have a pretty
nice rig when it arrives. Let us know how it works
out for you.

I only have an old LS2000 for scanning. It is unused, so great shape, but the Nikon 9000ED is on order and rumor has it that it is discontinued and on the last batch. Japan Exposure will convert a Contax G Sonnar 90 f2.8 for me and I'll resist the second kit with the 21 f4.5 until I win the lottery. Soon to sell like new G2, three lenses and flash. I wanted a rangefinder rather than auto focus. I hope this works out. My only real concern is the time to get out and about and the time to do the workflow. It is much more involved than digital.

Fingers crossed.
