Hi,
I've learned here that some people changes film in their camera like breathing, I've done it just one time, vith a Voigtlander Vitomatic, because it was so easy, seeing the frame counter going backward as you rewind.
I'm afraid instead that doing with a crank rewind, I could mistake and rewind it entirely, without leaving a little part out.

I've read in a old thread that exist 'something' to reach the film inside the... mm cassette? in english?... but I've no idea what to search for on ebay (or similar)...

What's the name of the tool? supercalifragilisticexpialidocious? or is made from Leica and thus something like ABNVORDMOODIDOM? or is this the name of an Ikea lamp? 😀

thanks and sorry for my sillyness 😛

otherwise, it's very easy too know what length is left before the end. When you feel that smthg un-hook, (you can then hear a very quiet "schlip" at that moment), you know it has unhook from the spool. And when you feel that the tension is much lower when you rewind, you know that you're close to the end.
Anyway, if you rewound your film entirely you still can open the film "can" in the dark with a bootle opener, not very complicated.
cheers

I do it all the time, esp when I'm testing new purchases, I can shoot one roll of film through 3-5 cameras. I often end up rewinding too much, so I bought a film picker from ebay, I chose the cheapest one since they all looked the same. I also sometimes just go to the local lab and they pull the film out for me.🙂
