I have a IIIF and a Sooki. I also have a 90 Elmar as well as a 135 Hektor.
I love the results when I use the Sooki on my Elmar and Summar 50 lenses, but wonder if I could expect focus or other problems using it on the 90 or 135 lenses?
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
There is a range of devices for 50 mm lenses, depending on bayonet or screw mount.
These include NOOKY< SOOKY, NOOKY-HESUM, ADVOO, and so it goes on.
See Laney for a run down.
The 90mm Elmar lenses take the adaptor OMIFO.
I have found this hard to find.
Cheers

Hello David,
how you manage to use with same device ( NOOKY/SOOKY ?) with 5cm Elmar AND Summar (this one needing NOOKY HESUM different from plain NOOKY.
https://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/NOOKY
These can only be used anyway with 5cm screw lenses.
As Philip wrote, other devices must be used for close-up with 90/135mm lenses.

Isn´t it, that the Nooky only works with collapsible lenses? The bayonet of the collapsed lens fits into the device.

Yes usable only with collapsible 5cm lenses.
Bayonet in each type of Nooky/Nooky Hesum/Sooky can only accept the 5cm
Elmar/Summar+Hektor/Summicron respectively.
Nice discussion, here at LUF:

Yup,
NOOKY = 5cm 3.5 Elmar
NOOKY HESUM = 5cm Hektor and Summar
SOOKY = collapsible 5cm Summicron
As Peter says, OMIFO for 90mm Elmar is rare.
and...if you have a Summitar I'm not quite sure what you do but it might involve ADVOO and SNHOO

Summitar fits in the NOOKY-HESUM, if I remember right. I own both that and the SOOKY and I'm pretty sure used a friend's Summitar in the NOOKY-HESUM once, but there's a slim chance I may be getting the adapters mixed up. They do look basically identical, after all.

I have been reading threads like this for a long long time and wonder if I dare suggest that a couple of easily obtained books will give all the answers about Leicas and their accessories.
I'm thinking of Hove Foto Book's "Leica Pocket Book"and "Leica Accessory Guide" both by Dr Laney.
Look on ebay or abebooks and you're bound to find one or two and they won't cost the earth.
Regards, David

Yes, Laney's books are very useful.
