Norman flash question

I have an old Norman 200B flash unit (1980ish). I haven't used it in many years. Got it out the other day and charged the battery. It seemed to work fine, but I would guess the battery probably needs replacing. Is there any other service it might need after sitting for so long?

I probably won't use this anymore, and am wondering if it is worth selling? I searched Ebay and didn't find any complete units for sale, just parts.

Any ideas about this?

Thanks .

I have 2 200Bs. They are very rugged and simple to use. They are great for outdoor shots. You could get different reflector for the head. The 2DRP diffused reflector produce very soft light. The 2H reflector will double the GN, great for wild life shots. If you have a complete unit and in good condition, you could probably get $150-200 on eBay.

If the unit has been sitting un-used for a long time, you should charge the battery and turn on the unit for at least 45min w/o flashing to re-condition the capacitors. Remember to wait for the ready light before changing power level. NEVER plug or unplug the head when the unit is charged.

200B could take NiCad, SLA, NiMH batteries.

Thanks, jason

I do have the complete kit except for the shoulder strap (I used to just carry the power pack in my shoulder bag), with the optional diffused light reflector.
