UK Region North of England meet-anyone?

I will be there. Ten at the coffee shop. Having learnt from Vicky on another thread I have ,somewhat optimistically, loaded my M2 and M3 with K64. Just hope that the old home town does not disappoint with the sun .

Yep, I'll be there - presumably the same cafe in Piccadilly station as last time?

Not sure what gear I'll bring this time - probably the R3A with S-C 40/2, but I haven't decided what else yet.

Just to confirm, we're planning to meet the cafe in Piccadilly Station at 10am. The cafe is up the escalators and overlooks the main area. Just for a bunch of people who look like camera wielding terrorists.

Just spoke to Jem at the Real camera Co. I told him to expect us about 11am. He's kindly laying some nibbles for us and has extended his shop to include a section specifically for darkroom equipment. So if you like groping around in the dark and a bit of a nibble (who doesn't!), he may have something for you. ;)

Oh, and he only takes cash, but is fine with part exchange.
 
Got to check today....but think my train will be in around 9-00am, look for a distinguished looking guy of mature good looks, and military bearing, in a Saville Row suit, and rolled umbrella, ( it's always p*#sing down in Manchester) will just have a Leica M...alacarte - of course!:D

I'm trying to get to this but money is tight.

EDIT: As for gear, if I can come I'll bring my Nikon as I'd want to shoot later in the day. I'll probably bring the 35SP, the Petri, the Photina TLR and the G1.

Why not skip the overnight stay and just come for the day? Mango and Xmas came up from London & Birmingham last time and travelled back the same day with no problems.

If you can get a coach it will probably be even cheaper.
Alternatively, flash a bit of leg and see if you can get a lift off a truck driver. ;)
 
Got a travel warrant last night so I should be there 10:00 ish, the online train timetable proved too complicated for me so I can’t be more precise

I’m probably travelling light, one maybe two bodies and two or three lenses

The weather forecast for Manchester on Saturday is positively tropical - and no I don't mean 6" of rain in 30 minutes - it's going to be nice & sunny.

BTW I may trade in my silver 35mm f1.7 Ultron for another 35mm lens at the Real Camera Co. If anyone want an Ultron let me know before Jem gets it. :)
 
I will be getting the 9.50 from Poulton le Fylde which ,my daughter informs me ,gets in at 10.
M2 and Cv 40 with a didital P/S for back up and for something to look at until the K64 comes back from its trip round the world for processing.

plus a compact of some sort, possibly the LX3.
