This abandoned motel is in the slums on Fort Wayne's east side. I have shot
about 10 rolls of film here over the last 8 months but just finally got a
photo scanned. Many more to come!

There is a creepy old house on the property that had the office in one corner of it. Reminds me of the Bates Motel.

Shot with an M6 and 50mm Summicron on Tri-X in D-76 1+1

i like this photo for the graphic composition/framing, specially the chair adds something. I curious to see the next of the serie.

Chris, nicely done, though your framing leaves me curious as hell what the billboard to the left of the frame says (partially cut off as it is).

It says "I raced a train and all I got was this lousy tombstone." I cut it off because the sign's message was unimportant to me, but I wanted some showing to suggest the urban environment that the motel is located in.

This is great, to see the mattresses piled in the courtyard speaks volumes and the snow just adds to the whole scene I think.

I'm wondering if you also took any of the interior of the motel?

Here's another photo from Norton's Motel. These chairs are in the front yard of the creepy old house that served as the motel's office before it was abandoned.

Shot with a 50mm Summicron in an M6 with Tri-X developed in D-76 1+1.
