My favourite lense on my M 8 is a Fed 2b , 50 3.5 '' clip ''collapsible which has a sparkle which I love , however , one of my rigid I 22s is also a lovely lense for the digital error ... sorry , era ...
Though I confess that my best Russian dee-light is my Oleg Kiev 4m with Helios ... and new meter cell !

Yeah man. Before I knew anything about what all these various items cost, I thought, surely those little lenses, small as pirate earrings, folding flat into the camera, they must be the most rare and valuable of all lenses.
They've been the greatest pleasure for me so far. For my own pictures, reflecting on how much I like something, I factor in how much fun I had taking the picture, and the tiny tessars are so fun...if they produce anything decent I love it.

This is all very good to hear about, and see. I just received a black 50/3.5 from Fedka, and I've been shooting with it on my M2. Now I just ordered (and have not received yet), also from Fedka, a silver Collapsible 50/3.5 marked "FED".
It was his most expensive collapsible 50, so I think that's an indication that it's going to be -good-.

I'd have expected a bit more depth of field from a 50 mm lens at f/8.

So are you implying that he's a faker, and that the photo was not actually shot the way he listed it, or do you feel that the lens in question has some physics-bending property that alters the general rules of depth of field?

Well, In the interest of full disclosure, I am calling out the ƒ stop from memory. I could have mis-remembered, or is it mis-membered. Anyway. I'm still happy with the shot.

I had one of these lenses for a while. I think I gave it away when I bowed out of LTM for a while. It is a lovely lens however, I always enjoyed how it performed and how bloodily, inconceivably, small and cheap it is! Maybe I'll have to get one for my canon P!

I really like the Fed-50 on my Fed-1 NKVD. I wish I could use it on my other bodies, too, but it's one of the early models with a nonstandard mount spacing fitted for a specific body.
Mine had some internal haze. Fortunately disassembling it for cleaning was ridiculously easy and now it's sharp and clear.
