been keeping a half eye open for an xe2 but not many for sale...rather not get a new one, prefer not from a store but private sales have dried up on forums and locally on kijiji...
i'm wondering if folks are holding on to them waiting for the anticipated firmware upgrade?
 
I've been looking at these on ebay and the NY stores websites. Several E2 listings on these sites, but none for less than 550-600 USD for body only. About twice the price of used E1s. Need a new model to drop prices.
 
the currency exchange is killing buying from the states...the local market is small, much smaller than frank's toronto market...
 
It could be people are simply pleased with their XE2s and aren't motivated to upgrade or switch. The X-Pro 2 probably won't appeal to many XE2 owners... especially after the firmware upgrade.

The putative XE3 is another story. I wonder if it will appear in time for the 2016 Holiday season?

Happy enough with xe1. For now.

If the xpro v2 or XE3 has some "pro" features and a new sensor I might jump.
Dual card slots and more processor are At the top of my list.
Xe2 is nice with a bit better AF and evf but not really much different than the xe1 the way I use these cameras. Not enough to "upgrade" for me.
