For people who live near a CompUSA, yesterday I bought a $99 2G Sandisk SD card when the guy behind the counter told me there was a "double promotion" going on. The store discounted the price to $59.99, and there's a $20 mail-in rebate from SanDisk, for a total price of $39.99. This is for the standard card, not the Ultra. The mail-in rebate is only good through Nov. 11, and must be postmarked by Dec. 11th.

The 2gig Ultra is $79 at Costco and there's a $20 rebate. The Extreme is $99 at Calumet but no rebate.

I don't shoot fast enough that I have a problem. I did notice on Luminous Landscape that Michael Reichmann said "faster cards are worth it." So if you tend to shoot fast....
