Over the years, I've taken a rather large number of photos (working in downtown Chicago and taking my lunch breaks, plus mornings, plus after work on the street). I was always too busy to take a break and put those photos together into a cohesive narrative. Well, thank God for COVID (said nobody ever) - with months of time on my hands, I decided to self-publish a book. With nothing but grit and determination, I taught myself Adobe InDesign, spent months poring over thousands of images, how to best sequence those in a layout, multiple sample print runs and I'm now proud to release "Nothing Is Nothing". The main setting is the streets of Chicago and all of the ways human loneliness manifests itself (especially in densely populated urban areas).

There are roughly 70+ images printed on 8.5 x 11 landscape in both hardcover and paperback layouts. I'm extremely pleased with the results, I couldn't be happier given the endless hours that I've put into it. I've already gotten a couple of orders from RFF members (thanks fdarnell!) and would love for you guys to take a look and purchase if you're interested.

Head on over to my shop or shoot me a DM if you're interested (I'm a BIG Miles Davis fan, hence the Dark Magus reference)

Thanks for the write up, Sam, and good for you in taking this on and producing a work of vision. I noticed the book in the classifieds, and will order a hardcover soon.
