After receiving the Novoflex adapter for G1, I found out it requires to be mounted on the lens first. It has a small bolt on the camera facing part of the adapter ring, which needs to protrude in order to open the lens lock.
When changing M-mount lenses, that of course means removing lens with adapter, remove adapter from lens, mount adapter to new lens, mount new lens with adapter onto the camera. Can't think of any meaningful reason for that tedious procedure.
So today I opened the adapter (four screws) and adjusted the length of the bolt with a saw, so it won't protrude anymore when the lens is unlocked. That way, the adapter can stay with the camera, as I prefer it to be. So far, it works fine. No negative impact.
