as has been mentioned, the original novoflex adapter MFT/LEM allowed m-mount lenses to focus to infinite at non-infinite distance setting. this was due to a too small registration distance of the adapter. in simple words, it was too thin (flange-to-flange distance 8.2 mm).
once i noticed, i contacted novoflex via email (contact address on their web page) and within hours, i received a mail confirming this issue, combined with an offer to exchange my faulty adapter for a new one of the second production batch. so i sent in my adapter, and within the promised time frame i received a new one.
this new adapter now measures 8.7mm flange-to-flange, and matches the registration distance of m-mount lenses exactly.
i'd like to thank the people at novoflex for their quick and uncomplicated solution for this issue.
