The DOW after FED confirmation of what was expected the DOW rallied over 500 points. Gold also surged and set an new Intra-Day High of $3061.60.
Both overs are kinda dramatic and crazy.
Back in the 80’s Ronald Ray-Gun broke down Unions and there was a period of stagnant wages.
What kept many Americans afloat was what Alan Greenspan called “disinflation” which coincided with cheap imported goods, and retail stores like Walmart that sold these cheap goods. Many of these cheap goods came from China.
So now a headline is that cheap goods, meaning imports from developing countries that have a vast supply of cheap labor to harness will no longer be happening. Pretty much that era will be gone.
It will likely be more costly to make those goods here.
