If the weather is bad go to the Museum of Natural History. The best dioramas of African and North American animals and the dinosaur halls are second to none.
If you have kids, going to museums can get very expensive. Therefore, take special note that the Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum, which accept public funds, allow you in for any amount that you wish to pay. They recommend $18 or something ridiculous, but we pay $1.
Also, the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) is free on Fridays, from 4pm to 8pm, thanks to Target. We went to see the Henri Cartier-Bresson exhibit last Friday, try and catch it.
