There was an article in today's NY Times about above art installation which also seems to be a great photo opportunity. The link above is the Armory homepage article about the event.
Admission is supposedly free tomorrow Sat. Dec. 8th. Open from 12pm, the artist will be there for an informal interview at 2pm. Check it out. I will go there.

Folks,
this is a totally awesome art installation, that reminds in some way on Christo "The Gates". Same calming, positively exciting effect on the audience. Adults have a childinsh fun on a swing. The huge curtain, centerpiece of the entire thing is constantly moved and you can watch it like the waves of the ocean.
It indeed is a great photo opportunity.

Yes, it is a fascinating event and indeed great to shoot the installation itself and the effect, the joy it gives to the audience.
I'll post some more in my gallery.
Don't miss it, it's up 'til Jan 6th.
