BEAUTY PAGENT?! Any photos of the winners from the last three years?

Where have you been? In the past a lot was posted.

Anyways crazy amounts of gear. At one Meet-Up we had 7 M9's. When the M9 was first released we had two at the First Annual Leica M-Body Beauty Pagent and quickly named the one with the lower serial number as the "Vintage" M9. The newer camera got bumped.

Anyways were end up laughing a lot making fun of ourselves, but we sometimes create specticals. One time we were so absorbed with gear that a group of drunk girls at the next table took exception that we were ignoring them. One comes over and asks me, "Don't you think I'm pretty?" I say, "My girlfriend will definitely not like you," and she says, "Why don't you take my picture?" Then all hell breaks loose.

I ask one of the girls, " Do you think a bunch of old guys with very expensive cameras is sexy?" and her response is, "Yes."

Next thing you know Scott, a M9 owner, has three drunk girls hanging all over him.

The amount of gear is kinda crazy, and then generally we also have guests attend from all over the world.

Perhaps we need a change of venue again because we are not having the same luck at puck fair.

Keith and I are exploring Harlem Public, but construction has been slow. The Meet-Ups have been kinda mellow lately, and some of the over the top craziness seems to be missing.

Anyways I say by the next beauty pagent in February we should find a new haunt.

We can always try Puck Fairs cousin bar, Swifts.. It used to be an old stomping ground for me and a few friends, although all the staff has changed since then...
They used to have a bus that went between Swifts and Puck fair at night, pretty funny drunken transportation back and forth..
More dungiony/Irish than Puck..
Its on 4th and Bowery..

Just a thought...

Could be cool... but the round table fits our meet-ups well. Harlem sometimes would be cool, but I bet that we would get a lot less people showing up for the meet-ups in that part of town.

I have been missing RFF Meetups lately, sorry guys! Life keeps getting in the way. When are we going to PhotoPlus ... I was hoping that it is not Oct 27th. If anyone is going there during the week before Sat, I will join.

One day I will fly to NYC just to meet you guys. That would ba such an amazing thing to do.
I imagine myself only carrying my camera bag and a smal backback with some essential clothes for a couple of days, staying in a hotel in the Theatre District and spending 3 or 4 days just shooting. Fantastic!
