NYC with film, 120

Another boost for enjoying 120 time in NYC. I was there recently with 3 digitals (in part to cover a family wedding) and only the GF670 for film. In retrospect, I wish I'd left the 2 small digis at home and brought another 120, e.g, the Bronica 645 or or the Fuji 645 P/S, for though its autofocus is as pleasant as a dentist drill, it can do no wrong getting the image.

I also wanted to shoot at night, so packed some Delta 3200 and rated it at 1600. You could pick up a roll there, if shooting nightlights/nightlife appeals to you and doesn't affect family time. (The most recent images in my RFF gallery are from the GF670/Lower East Side, a mix of D3200 & Arista 200.)

Of course, and most of all, take pleasure in the voyage and the walks.

Looking good -- consider bringing a flash or buying a 285hv at B&H -- very cheap.

With these decisions I always think that if you want pretty "picture perfect" shots of a place buy a coffee table book or some postcards. What you want are your shots, your impressions. So even though I'm almost all digital now I think you have a good set-up with the Zeiss and the X1.
