NYT: To The Memory of an Amiable Child.

Very nice
very interesting meeting of two ways of rememberance.
I have to say thatt I feel very close to the dimension of photography that plays a role in keeping the memory of past events or long disapeared persons.
That's one of the reasons I shoot B&W and kodachrome.
Thanks for the link

I used to live a short walk from the Amiable Child monument and could see it from my window. I photographed it a few times walking by it, and it's a very awkward thing to photograph. It gets overgrown sometimes, and the fence gets in the way or casts shadows that don't quite work, or the shadows from the trees above create a high contrast situation, and there are obstructions on two sides of it. I'll get it eventually.
